MS-5128, MS-5129 and MS-5136
Question
I have a MS-5128 motherboard, after I installed retail version of Windows 95, I cannot find the CR-ROM in the secondary IDE channel any more.
Or my IDE drives are using MS-DOS compatible mode.
Answer
This is caused by Windows 95 not recognizing the Intel 82371SB PIIX3 IDE controller on the motherboard, causing the BIOS to disable the secondary IDE channel. This can result in IDE devices in secondary IDE channel not being detected after the system is rebooted. Please refer to ftp.intel.com/pub/patch/ideinfup.exe & ideinfup.txt for further explaination and solution.

I use a PS/2 cable to connect my PS/2 mouse and the on-board PS/2 header, and the system cannot detect the mouse.
Answer
The problem may be caused by your PS/2 cable not being consistent with our PS/2 cable layout. You should also make sure the pin order is correct when connecting the cable. Click here to view the PS/2 cable layout.
